Why
donate to a website when it looks like there are sponsors that pay
for everything? This website costs a lot to run. Each webcam costs
between $1500 and $2000 to purchase and there are 10 of them. Each
weather station costs about $800 (four of them so far). Along with
the initial purchases, I also pay the internet bills for most of the
webcams. That adds up to a large monthly bill. The money from the
sponsors just covers the monthly internet and web hosting bills.
Soon we will also have to pay $1000 per year to use the data from
the
University of Washington wind model. Individual donations are
needed if we want to have money to maintain the existing equipment
and possibly buy more. Thanks to everyone for your generous
